Ocean Institute Antarctica show ends
01/10/07 Over 150,000 people toured the Antarctica exhibition during its three-month run which concludes on January 10th, 2007. A highlight of the event was a fundraising dinner held by the Sand Dollar Guild which serves as a fundraising arm of the Ocean Institute. Over 300 people attended the event which was held on December 4, 2006.Read more>>>

Ocean Education Center holds classes for over 500,00 students

| Tenants,
building owner unite to bring arts to Town Center
04/10/06 - April marks an important milestone
for a group of local artists and business people. Frustrated
with the lack of foot traffic to their building on Coast Hwy,
the group decided to work together on events to attract both
locals and visitors to their location. They branded their building
the Dana Arts Plaza, as it is comprised of a Jeweler, a custom
picture framer, a painting and photo studio as well as the headquarters
of the non-profit arts organization Dana Point Coastal Arts. Read

09/01/06 A spectacular new image of the BrigPilgrim off Dana Point has been selected for the 2006 Toshiba Tallships Festival. This marks the 8 the time Wassmann's photography has been used for the event but according to Ocean Institute marketing dirctor Bentley Cavazzi, 'This is the best yet!'
